Professional Roofing Services in Leyland: Led by Graham Cowburn (Est. 1998)
“At Paramount Roofing, we don’t just repair roofs – we provide long-term peace of mind. Led by Managing Director Graham Cowburn, our team has been a cornerstone of the Leyland and Lancashire construction community for over a quarter of a century. Since our founding in December 1998, Paramount Roofing Limited has evolved into a leading authority in domestic and commercial roofing, built on a foundation of technical mastery and transparent local service.”
Why Experience Matters in Roofing
What sets us apart is Graham’s 25-plus years of ‘on the tools’ experience. This deep-rooted knowledge means that whether we are tackling a complex GRP flat roof installation or replacing a single damaged tile at 30 feet, the project is guided by decades of proven craftsmanship. Unlike national contractors, Graham remains personally involved in the quality control of every Leyland project, ensuring that the “Paramount Standard” is met on every job—no shortcuts, no surprise fees.
Verified Safety & Local Trust
We understand that your home is your most valuable asset. That is why we are fully insured and officially vetted by the Lancashire County Council Safe Trader Scheme. Our commitment to safety and ethics isn’t just a promise; it is a matter of public record.

Experienced, Reliable Team
Good People Do Good Work
At Paramount Roofing, we believe the quality of a job starts with the people doing the work.
We have a stable, experienced team who’ve spent over 25 years working on roofs and uPVC roofline systems across Lancashire.
Versatile and Knowledgeable
Because we’ve worked on so many different property types in places like Leyland, Chorley and Preston, we understand the common roofing styles in the area — from tiled and slate roofs to flat roofs and modern uPVC installations.
That experience helps us spot potential issues early and deal with any surprises quickly and safely.
Skilled Workmanship
Operatives must meet the criteria identified in a role specific Competence Profile before they can work on any of our sites.
Regular Skills Refresher Training
Our team keeps their skills up to date with regular training in the latest materials, installation methods and health and safety practices.
DBS Checked
All of our site staff are DBS checked, so you can feel comfortable about who’s working on your home.
Employers can check the criminal record of someone applying for a role. This is known as getting a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The Disclosure and Barring Service is an official government body.
Tried and trusted materials
We only use top quality materials that meet British Standards and are approved by the manufacturers and follow the correct installation guidelines so your roof or roofline system performs well and stays covered by its warranty.
That means careful handling of materials, using the right tools, and paying close attention to how everything is fitted — because the little details make a big difference to how long your roof lasts.
Working Safely at Your Home
Your safety and our team’s safety are always a top priority. Our installers wear the right protective gear and follow strict working-at-height rules.
Depending on the job, this may include:
- Proper scaffolding with edge protection
- Safety netting and protective padding
- Safe waste chutes and lifting equipment
- Clear warning signs and barriers around work areas
Site Housekeeping
We take care to keep the site tidy and reduce risks to you, your family and your neighbours.
Careful Supervision & Attention to Detail
Every project is overseen by an experienced supervisor to make sure work is completed to a high standard.
Regular checks are carried out during the job to keep everything on track.
We pay close attention to the important finishing details that prevent leaks and future problems — such as flashings, seals, and waterproofing around chimneys, vents and roof windows.
Final Checks for Peace of Mind
Once the work is complete, we carry out thorough inspections to make sure everything has been fitted correctly. Depending on the job, this can include checking seals, drainage, insulation and overall weatherproofing.
We don’t consider a job finished until we’re happy it’s been done properly.
Clear Communication Throughout
We keep you informed from start to finish. Before work begins, we explain what we’ll be doing, how long it should take and any safety precautions you need to be aware of.
We also use modern management systems behind the scenes to keep jobs organised and running smoothly.
How We Manage Work at Your Property
Every job is carefully planned and carried out to an agreed schedule (weather permitting).
Before We Start
We’ll discuss access, parking, working hours and any specific needs for your property.
We’ll also let you know what areas to avoid while work is underway.
During the Work
We set up safe working areas using barriers, cones and signs to keep everyone clear of hazards. Ladders and scaffolding are secured properly, and all tools and materials are stored safely.
We also:
- Keep noise and dust to a minimum wherever possible
- Clear waste regularly to keep the site tidy
- Make sure gutters, paths and surrounding areas are protected
After the Job
All equipment is removed, barriers are taken down and we let you know the work is complete.
The area is left clean and tidy so you can get back to normal straight away.
